welcome Ramadhan!

in about another 20 minute, we'll be breaking our fast for our first day of Ramadhan. Ramadhan is the month where Muslims all over the world fast for a month. Fasting in the month of Ramadhan is one of the pillars of Islam.

“Hai orang-orang yang beriman, diwajibkan atas kamu berpuasa sebagaimana diwajibkan atas orang-orang sebelum kamu agar kamu bertakwa,”

O Believers! Fasting is prescribed to you as it was prescribed to those before you, that ye may learn self restraint, (Surah al-Baqarah 2 : 183)

my youngest sister is also fasting today. last year, she managed to fast for the whole month. we surely do hope that she'll manage to do the same this year. I'm very happy that today we managed to break our fast together as a family.

by the way, yesterday, Malaysia celebrated her 51st independence day. a lot of ways people did to celebrate this auspicious event. what I like most during merdeka is the fireworks during the countdown and the parade on the next morning. I like to watch people in colourful uniforms march pass the VIPs as well as the performance by the children early in the morning. I'll always wake up early to watch this. Eyh, it's time to go now.
